  As a Hertz Gold member I rent with Hertz on a regular basis - and this was one of my worst experiences ever with them.
  
  I had rented (and received confirmation including the license plate number and stall number) a Nissan Pathfinder. When I got to that spot there was a dodge caravan there instead which wouldn't work for this trip.
  
  I went back to the Gold Member desk - and the rep was incredibly rude to me - basically saying 'just take the minivan'. After a few minutes of going back and forth I was given a different stall number. I go out - and it's a Dodge Journey (5 passenger - not 7 passenger like I needed).
  
  So back to the Gold Member desk.
  
  The rep then tried to argue with me saying that the Dodge Journey was in the same class (L4) as the Pathfinder. I said (pointing to the print out of their vehicles and classifications that was sitting right in front of her) 'No - it's most certainly not. One has 5 passengers, the other has 7.'
  
  Irate with me the rep then told me it was going to take 10 minutes for them to finish cleaning another car so I could have that one.
  
  25 minutes later - I had my car.
  
  Overall the entire process was 45+ minutes.
  
  And the time isn't the issue. The fact that I wasn't originally given what I had requested (and paid for) not once - but TWICE.... And then talked down to about the whole thing.... And not once was I apologized to... And no offer of an upgrade (which there were plenty available) so I wouldn't have to wait because of their mistake... THATS the issue.
  
  Don't punish the people that use you the most Hertz.
